
Born in Rome in 1952. Fabrizio Ferri began taking photographs as a teenager and worked on socio-cultural photojournalism. His photographs were published in Italian newspapers and magazines such as "L'Unita`", "Fotografare", "Paese Sera", "Noi donne", "Il Mondo", "L'Espresso".
In 1973 he turned to fashion photography and since then he has worked for such magazines as "Vogue USA", "Vogue Germany", "Vogue Italia", "Elle Decor", "Marie Claire", "GQ", among many others. In the early eighties, Fabrizio Ferri founded Milan-based Industria Superstudio, a 3000 square-meter fully equipped complex of state-of-the art photography studios, and the restaurant Braque.
In 1991 he opened Industria Superstudio Overseas in New York, a 5000 square-meter complex of photographic studios which, together with Industria Superstudio in Milan, form the largest studio complex in the world today.
In 2000 he directed the tv commercial for McDonald's, and another for the Laura Biagiotti perfume Roma. He was the author of the book Forma. He opened a lunch bar, BarBugatti, and renovated his restaurant, called Ristorante Industria.
In 2002 he opened Industria Musica, among the most advanced digital pre and post production recording studios in the world.
In 2004, in partnership with acclaimed Chef Jonathan Waxman, he opened Barbuto in New York City's West Village. Ferri continues to work for the most important international magazines, such as “Vogue USA”, “Harper's Bazaar”, “Oprah Magazine”, “Esquire”, “GQ”, “Sports Illustrated”, “Glamour”, “Lifestyle”.
